About Me
I’m a clinical counsellor and registered psychotherapist experienced in providing trauma, grief, and relationship counselling. I’ve worked at places like 1800RESPECT, the Grief Centre, and Doncare Community Centre. In 2019, I established Hummingbird Therapy* where I offer online, phone, and in-person sessions. I have a PhD in Theatre and Performance and have spent many years working in universities and raising my four wonderful children with my partner.
My Approach
I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. We’ll take things at your pace, allowing you to connect deeply with yourself. My approach combines several humanistic, experiential therapies to help you explore your feelings and relationships at a pace that's right for you.
What is Focusing-oriented therapy?
Focusing-oriented therapy helps you focus while listening to your body to understand your needs and desires. Each session is tailored just for you, allowing you to build self-esteem and a healthy balance between independence and connection with others. If you're feeling stuck in confusion or some kind of mental turmoil, we'll work together to find a way through it to healing and growth.
