Carlie is committed to providing personalised and evidence-based care to all her clients and aims to meet them where they are at in their self discovery, to learn along side them.
Carlie has experience working with marginalised communities, including individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, or discrimination. She believes that everyone deserves access to high-quality mental health care and ensures that her services are inclusive and accessible.
Carlie has also completed and published research investigating the role of psychologists in end of life care and believes that emotional wellbeing should be valued at all stages of life.
Carlie leverages on non-judgement, humour and kindness within her practice, with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Attachment Theory, Schema Therapy and Sensate Therapy also utilised to explore your internal world. She cares deeply about creating an environment in session which promotes trust, compassion, empathy and warmth.
She has also completed perinatal specific training with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE), as well as the Maternal Mental Health Intensive course through the Seleni Institute.
